Treadmill tests are used to possibly detect coronary heart disease which may not show
any indications of this on a resting EKG.  Although treadmill tests are not 100% diagnostic,
they may add information regarding cardiac status.  They may also be of assistance in
various heart rhythm disorders.  24-hour Holter monitoring may also provide important
diagnostic information and then lead to treatment of rhythm disturbances.  They are
used when the symptoms are occurring daily.  Cardiac event monitoring may likewise
yeild important rhythm disturbance information when the symptoms are occurring
intermittently.
